I recently stayed at Mad Monkey in Luang Prabang for a week-long holiday. The dorms were beautifully designed and had the most comfortable, spacious beds I've ever experienced. The hostel had a great atmosphere, thanks to the friendly and engaging staff members, especially Jack, David, and Alex. They organized fun activities every night, which made it easy to meet and connect with other travelers. The owner's initiative to bring in a yoga teacher and provide mats for classes showed the thoughtfulness that went into creating a wonderful stay. Additionally, the location, a 20-minute walk from downtown, allowed me to explore a lovely part of the town.
Would recommend this hotel.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent. The room was amazing, with beds built into the walls and all the necessary amenities. The location was a bit further from the center but still manageable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast menu could be improved, with more variety and lower prices.

We had an amazing time staying at this hostel. the big beds were the best we've slept in the last 6 months, and the rooms had plenty of space to store our bags. the personal lights and charging areas at each bed were really useful. the lockers were good, and the showers were nice and hot. the owner was super friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Everything was clean and well-maintained.
We would definitely go back and didn't want to leave. Cons: Almost perfect, just a minor issue.
